The people who died had to be tossed to the sharks instead of being buried under soil. In the ships, more than 256 people died. Seven landlords are murdered for land. Irelands revolution starts against Britain. The British retaliated by burning down the people’s houses. The Irish rebelled again, and became independent of Britain. Before this a million people died when their house was burned down. 1 of 4 people died or were gone from Ireland. The Irish helped to build the transcontinental railroad. Eventually, New York and Chicago have more Irish people than Dublin, the capital of Ireland. Some Irish even became presidents (J.F.K. for example).
